This site publishes news about Scotland in Arabic, with the aim of providing Arabic speakers (that is, readers) with news about Scotland’s foreign relations. It is non-party political but covers stories featuring Scottish political parties.

Despite being a country with limited powers within a centralised state, the Scottish government does engage politically with foreign actors, whether they are states, INGOs or IGOs. This developing feature of Scottish politics is gaining prominence in a backdrop of support for Scottish independence and the Brexit impasse.

The site also publishes articles and essays about events, people and politics in the Arab world and West Asia and North Africa (WANA). Most of those are in English.
